Happy Birthday!

Janna's birthday started off with breakfast in bed. Sienna and I woke up early and prepared pancakes with ice cream, strawberries, blueberries, bananas and sprinkled with 100's & 1000's.

The day was spent at Dreamworld and we had lots of fun going on rides, swimming and looking at the tigers. It was a beautiful day for it and by the end we were all very tired but the day was just getting started :)

We made our way to Mum & Dad place where we enjoyed dinner with the family. Nothing says happy birthday than with a feed of KFC! To my surprise I only managed to eat two pieces of chicken...maybe I was still feeling the effect from the "All you can eat" buffet at Dreamworld. The cake was given and candles were blown and before we knew it we were back home. A very nice day yesterday and well spent.

Family Time

Family is the most important part of Janna and I life. We really enjoy taking the girls out whether its one of the many theme parks, the city, beach and most recently a local park which is worth mentioning.

Every Sunday we try to go to our local park with a packed picnic and enjoy a day out(new tradition). The park has a great playground, pond for feeding ducks, walkways and most importantly its filled with other families out there enjoying the day.

Its great to put the breaks on and spend quality time with each other. I hope we can find more time in our lives to just slow down and enjoy it. A good balance is key to maintaining a healthy family relationship.

Good Things to Come

I really enjoy the many inspirational video clips advertised by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This week I came across this one which gave me a great feeling of peace and assurance that no matter how tough things may seem there is a brighter day ahead. I especially like the quote "Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don't come until heaven.

Looking at my little family I feel a lot of blessings have come already. I see it in my Wife and all the good she does for our family. I see it within my beautiful little girls everyday. As a family we walk together side by side enjoying the journey which is life.
